Aylesbury Vale Broadband (AVB) is planning, constructing and delivering an ultrafast fibre broadband network in Buckinghamshire.
Aylesbury Vale Broadband started as an idea by Andrew Mills, the Managing Director, in August 2014. Shortly after this, Aylesbury Vale District Council agreed to join the venture and in June 2015 AVB was born.
In November 2015 our Fibre to the Home broadband network went live in North Marston, in the middle of rural Aylesbury Vale.
In 2016 work on AVB’s ultrafast fibre network had started (or finished) in the villages of North Marston, Granborough, Swanbourne, Drayton Parslow, Oving and Stewkley. Other villages and hamlets are to follow soon.
AVB is a joint venture, backed and supported by the Aylesbury Vale District Council, and is constructing and delivering a future-proof fibre network to deliver ultrafast broadband speeds in rural areas of Buckinghamshire that are the envy of most urban areas.
AVB is dedicated to eliminating the digital divide between urban and rural areas by delivering a long term, sustainable communications infrastructure for households and businesses in rural Aylesbury Vale.
